Autumn Wishlist

With Autumn being well and truly upon us, I have had my eye on certain products which I would love to have in my AW15 beauty and wardrobe collection. As you can see, most of these are burgundy toned products, which is one of my favourite colours to wear all year round - and the arrival of Autumn is the perfect excuse to cue all of the plum lipsticks! Having recently started a new job, these are the products I'll be looking to for a splurge when I get my first paycheck!

I have to admit that whilst at heart I am very much a Netflix/cosy duvet kind of person, I do get excited for the odd cocktail date with my friends every now and then. On the occasion that I do decide to swap my bed socks for my heels, there are certain beauty products which I always trust and reach for when I'm getting ready to go out. These products are trusted simply because they all have great lasting power - which is exactly what you need when you're out on the town! Here are some of my favourite evening beauty products and clutch bag essentials.

This month has been particularly exciting in the beauty product department, simply because the classic deep berry lip and gold eyeshadow which is so reminiscent of autumn is a makeup look which I love to wear all year round! Throughout October I have found myself eagerly reaching for the same eyeshadow palette and plum lipsticks for both daytime and evening makeup looks.

Sanctuary 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask:
I recently made an order online at Boots and, being a bit slow on the bandwagon here, decided to finally try out the Sanctuary 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask. Being an avid user of the First Aid Beauty Deep Red Clay Cleanser which I reviewed here, I was interested to try this due to its Charcoal clay formula. I wasn't disappointed! It heated up when applied, but not so much that it was uncomfortable and left my face feeling ultra clean, cleansed and soft. As an added bonus as well, the next day I woke up with significantly less blemishes than I went to bed with! Will definitely be buying the full sized version of this when it's next back in stock.

Tattify Temporary Tattoos:
I've recently had an overwhelming urge to get a tattoo, but, not being quite brave enough to take the plunge, I found a temporary one similar to something I would want to get in the future on the Tattify Etsy shop. It's been so much fun to wear and I can't stop looking at it! Whether I'll be getting a permanent one or not - only time will tell!

Vintage Escape Eye Palette:
My Cargo Cosmetics Vintage Escape Eye Palette has shone above my other eye palettes this month simply because it holds the most beautiful and long lasting autumnal colours - perfect for this time of year! I am really enjoying the pigmented, buttery formula of the eyeshadows which are a dream to blend out.

The palette comes with 12 eyeshadows, with a mixture of shimmer and matte formulas to choose from. My favourites are Cinnamon, Rustic and Hot Cocoa. I believe Cargo Cosmetics are more easily found in the US, but for all of you palette hoarders living in the UK, I found Vintage Escape on Fragrance Direct - and at almost half price too! You're welcome.

Left to Right: Harvest Moon, Cuddle, Frolic, Cinnamon, Twigs, Black Crow, Crisp, Hot Cocoa, Autumn, Withered Leaves, Rustic, Chestnut.

Base Products:
The Loreal Infallible Stay Fresh Foundation,Ambient Lighting Powder, Milani Powder Blush have been my favourite base combo this month. I have been waiting for a drugstore foundation which I like as much as my Bourjois Healthy Mix and the Loreal Infallible Stay Fresh Foundation is a great contender! I love how the coverage can be built up but it still feels as light on the skin as the Healthy Mix does. A sweep of Ambient Lighting Powder over the top adds a nice healthy glow and sets everything in place, whilst the Milani Powder Blush adds the perfect pop of dusty rose, which works with both nude and plum lips - perfect for autumn!

Lips:
Whilst we're discussing Autumn - cue plum lipsticks - my all time favourite makeup product! Most days I have been reaching for my Rimmel lipstick in Starry-Eyed, a berry lipstick with a purple tone. I've been loving pairing this with both a gold eye or a black liquid liner flick. Whilst usually for day time I prefer dark toned lipsticks to have a matte formula, this lipstick has a nice sheen which I find is balanced nicely so it doesn't look too much.

On the (rare) occasions that I have been venturing out in the evenings, I've found myself reaching for the Rimmel Apocalypse lip laquer in Eclipse, an ultra pigmented, ultra shiny and long lasting lip stain - perfect for nights out but still keeping in with the autumn plum feel.
